Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I have always enjoyed challenges and am accustomed to hard work. From an early age, my parents, teachers and mentors encouraged me to pursue a career in law. I was also privileged to know and observe the work of several highly professional and accomplished attorneys.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
I learned from "the best" as an associate and partner in a premier law firm, with some of the top lawyers in the country, who devoted their talents to litigation of work related injury claims nationwide. I have also benefited from leadership roles on community boards and in businesses unrelated to the law.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
For more than four decades, my dad worked tirelessly as an advocate for railway labor employees. He gave me the opportunity to continue that advocacy on behalf of hard working members of all industries.

Describe your ideal client.
Anyone I can help is an ideal client. Our clients are usually referred to us by existing clients. They contact us when they are overwhelmed by the intricacies involved in recovering losses due to serious work related injuries. We provide the professional guidance to successfully navigate the often confusing legal and bureaucratic maze.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I don't have much free time, but when I'm not working I spend as much time as possible with my wife, children and great friends. We have a lot of fun getting together and hosting events with our huge local family. I enjoy most outdoor activities, including riding my bike and skiing. As an undergraduate at Notre Dame in the 1970's, I studied in Italy for one year and traveled throughout Europe. Since then, I've never lost the urge to explore new places through family travel. I also enjoy attending college games and I read every biography I can get my hands on.
Describe your charitable activities.
My wife, children and I have participated and supported the charitable activities of our church and of United Way, Junior League, Special Olympics and Red Cross and many other local charities. We have also assisted in fundraising for all of our schools.
