I graduated from the Capital University Law School and also hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to my law practice, I am a former dentist and I have acted as a part-time hearing officer for The Ohio State Dental Board, hearing testimony from the State of Ohio and from respondent dentists, ruling on motions and evidentiary issues, and making Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Recommendations of Penalty to the Dental Board. I have had extensive experience in real estate matters and prior to obtaining my law degree was licensed as a Realtor in the state of Ohio.

Upon graduation from law school I began practicing law in Dublin, Ohio. Over the last 25 years the practice has grown and now includes four attorneys. Our four attorneys at Thomas Law Group, Cheryl DeVore, Tamara Zwick, Chad Hanke and I focus on Family Law, Estate Planning & Probate, Health Care Professionals, Corporate/Business Organizations, Employment Law and Bankruptcy. In addition to my law degree, I have a degree in dentistry and have years of experience assisting dentists with legal matters related to their dental practices.
My law practice is focused on family law, business formation and representation, various dental/medical practice issues, estate planning, contracts/agreements, and real property. The other attorneys at Thomas Law Group, Cheryl DeVore, Tamara Zwick and Chad Hanke, regularly provide legal assistance in the areas of Domestic Law, Estate Planning & Probate, Health Care Professionals, Corporate/Business Organizations and Bankruptcy. Additionally, we have three talented paralegals in our practice assisting us in providing our clients with the best competent legal representation.

In addition to my law degree, I also hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery. I am a frequent guest lecturer at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, lecturing on various dental-legal issues, including dental malpractice avoidance, potential liability of dentists related to dental malpractice actions, Dental Board investigations, and representation of dentists after they have been charged by the Dental Board.
While there are many great law firms in the Columbus area, we feel that Thomas Law Group provides service on a personal level that other firms may not be able to offer. The experience starts when you contact our office by telephone and are greeted by a live person instead of the voice mail maze we have become accustomed to. Our staff member greets you with "Hello, how may we help you?" The goal of Thomas Law Group is truly to help our clients resolve the legal problem that brought them to our office and to do it in a kind, compassionate, and professional matter, understanding that in many cases the matter that has brought our client to us is very stressful. We are a personal service oriented company. We strive to accommodate your schedule, both before and after normal business hours, to allow clients access to our attorneys and them to feel more involved in the legal process. At least one attorney is always on call, should you assistance after hours.
I love to travel, though I don't get to do enough of it, in particular visiting my parents in Florida and my daughter in Las Vegas. I enjoy spending time with my new grandson. And, of course, watching the Buckeyes!
Thomas Law Group supports several charities including Operation Buckeye (which sends care packages to troops over seas), Capital Area Humane Society, and American Cancer Society. We provide support directly with monetary contributions and, in addition, host an annual event to solicit funds from others. We also are involved in a recycling program that benefits the Capital Area Humane Society, as well as the environment.

A retainer is required and a retention agreement must be executed before we can begin to represent you or your business. The retainer amount will vary depending on the matter in which we have been retained to represent you.

Thomas Law Group provides some estate planning services and business formation services at a flat rate. Fees are typically discussed during your initial consultation with our office.
This varies by legal issue. We always try to use the lowest ranked, yet properly qualified individual to perform specific tasks on your behalf in order to keep fees as low as possible.
