I am a retired common pleas judge with more than 25 years of experience handling estates and evaluating personal injury claims.

I have mediated over 1,500 civil cases and 250 domestic cases in the past 14 years. I routinely mediate cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, construction, insurance and claims against the State of Ohio. I've also settled cases concerning sexual discrimination and harrassment and other labor cases. I've conducted numerous mock trials and private civil trials for parties in all of Ohio's major cities and I hear almost 1,000 divorces and dissolutions a year in Ohio. I've sat by assignment on cases in 25 Ohio counties, 3 courts of appeal, and on the Ohio Court of Claims.

I became an attorney to help people better understand the legal system and to use it wisely.
My years as a retired judge and mediator give me a more realistic view of client's cases and the cost of litigation. I am ever mindful that ordinary people are nervous and sometimes afraid in court settings and I try to make their experience with me anxiety free.
I enjoy working with elder folks and relieving their feelings of frustration and worry concerning the disposition of their property after death.
We are available on weekends and in the evening. We typically give clients an accurate estimate of fees before any committment to us to perform the work.
Someone who needs to better understand the processes of the law and needs reassurance that they matter and that their problem has a reasonable solution.
I enjoy gardening and brush clearing as they take me out into the natural outdoor world. I also enjoy helping my wife repair her rental properties.
I donate to the social outreach programs of the Catholic Diocease of Columbus and am a member of St. Joseph Cathedral.
