I bring a lot of "real world" experience to the practice of law. My previous employment includes everything from service in the Air National Guard to bar tending to assembly line work to managing the Human Resources department of a large manufacturing facility. My most important role is, and has always been, mom. As an attorney, I have worked for large firms and small, representing corporations, small businesses and individuals.
There are no insignificant cases because you learn something from every matter you handle. My trial work includes cases in Federal, State and Municipal courts. Other venues include, administrative agencies, including the Ohio Industrial Commission, State Employee Relations Board, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and others.

It may sound corny, but I became an attorney because I truly believe in our system of government and I wanted to make it work for the people who need it.
As the mom of two boys, I've learned about compassion and conflict resolution. As a bartender, I discovered that everyone has an interesting story to tell, so I learned to listen. In the Air Force, I learned discipline. When I worked on an assembly line building trucks, I learned about hard work. In the field of Human Resources, I came to appreciate that each individual has something to contribute.
Deciding to practice in the field of family law was a difficult decision. It is not easy seeing people torn apart by emotional family disputes, fighting over children and money. I finally decided to practice in this area because I thought I could help restore some peace to a difficult situation. My highest priority in each of these cases is to keep the children out of the fray. I practice employment law because it intrigues me. The law is interesting and complex and I like helping people understand their rights and responsibilities.
Our firm is small, but mighty. The good thing about a small firm is that you get personal service from an attorney. However, we have each worked at larger firms and we bring those resources to bear when necessary.
My ideal client is one who actively participates in his or her case. It is my job to know and apply the law, it is the client's job to give an accurate account of the facts. My relationship with my clients is a a partnership.
I love gardening and heavy metal music.
I give to my church and I contribute to various charities.

For Family Law matters the typical retainer fee is $2,500.00.

Hourly rate depends upon the complexity of the case. Some cases are handled on a contingent fee basis. Prospective clients should feel free to discuss rates during the initial consult.
