Why did you decide to become an attorney?
While receiving my Master's degree in Sociology, I realized the importance of making a positive impact on individuals' lives. Becoming a lawyer has allowed me to engage in meaningful work on behalf of my clients.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
Starting my own successful practice right out of law school has greatly contributed to my confidence and ability as an attorney to effectively represent clients. I work diligently on every aspect of every case. I have represented numerous clients in trials and have also settled many cases in my career.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
My focus has always been to serve individuals. I enjoy the personal interactions that the areas of family, juvenile and criminal law allow me to have with my clients.
What makes your law firm unique?
I strive to provide excellent service to my clients. My law firm is me. You get to deal with me and personally talk with me on the phone, via email, or in person.
Describe your ideal client.
I appreciate a client that cares deeply about his or her case, and is able to keep an open mind about ways to resolve the issues involved.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
Nearly every Thursday and Sunday I play ice hockey in the Chiller Adult League. I started playing hockey while growing up in Minnesota and played for 5 years on The Ohio State University Women's Club Ice Hockey Team. I also enjoy traveling, reading, and exercising.
Describe your charitable activities.
I offer my services as an attorney through the Columbus Bar Association's Homeless Project, the Inter-Faith Legal Clinic, and when called on by the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and the Lawyers for Justice Program.
