I am in court everyday working on my client's OVI, felony and misdemeanor cases. I am focused on criminal and drunk driving defense/OVI litigation. I have handled hundreds of felony cases and have death penalty experience. I have successfully conducted felony and misdemeanor criminal jury trials at every level since starting my practice in 2000. I wanted to work in a courtroom representing clients as their trial attorney. My colleagues describe me as a natural in the courtroom. I also wanted a challenging career that would allow me to grow and develop a specialized skill that I could use throughout my life.
My experience in the U.S. Army, from basic training at Fort Knox, ROTC and Airborne School, through my service on Active Duty, gave me the ability to work through the tough demands of practicing law. My trial work since starting my own practice in 2000 has given me the ability to handle any type of criminal or traffic matter. There is no substitute for experience.
I focus primarily on Criminal and OVI cases. My Criminal and OVI litigation/trial experience allow me to get into the courtroom almost daily and use my advanced training and skills. I have been doing trial work since 1996 as a prosecutor in the Army. My OVI practice is a major part of my focus and allows me to review new OVI caselaw and research almost daily. My extensive felony trial experience pays off for clients in OVI cases due to the complex nature of felony trials. If I can try a complex murder trial effectively, then I am that much more effective in a OVI or misdemeanor trial. These experiences make me a better attorney in my other areas of practice/litigation. Preparation is the key to success in a courtroom. I give my personal guarantee that I will be the most prepared attorney in the courtroom for trial.

On average I spend approximately 5 to 10 hours on a OVI case before trial. I set the retainer with the client after discussing their case with them. Felony and other Misdemeanor fees/retainers are also set after discussing the case with the client.
