What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
My experience as a criminal trial lawyer at the R. William Meeks Co., LPA since
1999 has prepared me to represent a wide variety of clients in all kinds of serious
criminal cases. I have substantial jury trial experience around Ohio in complex
criminal litigation in state and federal courts, including fraud, ethics, conspiracy,
narcotics, homicide, and sex abuse cases. I also have extensive appellate
experience and have argued more than fifty times in different courts of appeals.
Finally, I am board certified as a criminal trial advocate by the National Board of
Trial Advocacy.
What makes your law firm unique?
Our firm is unique because we are able to provide a comprehensive array of
services at all stages of a criminal case. The investigators, expert witnesses, and
support staff who work with us are all experienced professionals who assist in the
management of our clients’ cases. We also maintain good relationships with law
enforcement agencies and prosecutors at the state and federal levels. We take a
pro-active approach to case preparation, even before charges are filed, which allows
us to evaluate problems at an early stage and secure optimal outcomes for our
clients. Finally, we are unique because we have earned substantial recognition
from our peers. I have been rated AV Preeminent in Martindale-Hubbell. I am the
youngest Columbus lawyer listed in the current edition of Best Lawyers in America
in the field of criminal defense and am a 2012 Rising Star in Super Lawyers. I
regularly provide presentations to other attorneys on the subjects of evidence and
trial practice.
